Had a lovely evening at the University of Washington Urban Horticulture Center, meeting with other landscape professionals and discussing our successes and lessons learned over the past year. The Resilient by Design Challenge gave the Mithun ‘Home Team’ an unparalleled opportunity to explore the connection between community-driven projects and planning developing an equitable and sustainable response to climate change. Community driven projects have the potential to make investments go farther, more effectively. The Bay Area is projected to need more than $85 billion dollars of investment in climate change responses. These dollars must be streamlined.
