I recently gave a presentation on my August, 2018 Bike tour from the WTF Bikeexplorers Summit in Whitefish, Montana back to Seattle, Washington at my Design Firm, Mithun as well as at the annual 'Stoked Spoke' adventure story swap presented by Swift Industries. WDuring the trip I was able to to visit one of my favorite Mithun projects, the Wanapum Heritage Center in Mattawa, WA. Speaking about my love for Bike Touring to my design firm gave me time to reflect on how the way in which we interact with nature, and how the ways we recreate can inform and inspire better stewardship of public resources, an idea I seek to fold into my practice as an urban designer.
